Description:
The Systems Engineer’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that monitor patients in critical care. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the uptime and reliability of patient monitor systems.
Based out of our Milford, CT office you will assist our customers by providing:
- Emergency and preventative technical support to our customers by telephone, and remotely via VPN.
- Travel to customer sites as needed for network installations, upgrades and troubleshooting when needed.
- Provide after hours phone support on an on-call basis in an on-call rotation.
- Provide technical assistance to the sales organization pre- and post-sale.
- Support various internal service projects.
This position will require some travel to support customers at hospitals throughout the US and Canada (approx. 20%).
Qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree in an IT discipline is required, with an emphasis on server administration.
- 2-3 years experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 2000, XP, 2000 Server, and 2003 Server, MS SQL, Wireless Infrastructures, Wireless Security Protocols, VPN Protocols and WAN connections, Remote Server Management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Extremely strong customer focus.
- Must be able to travel (approx. 20%).
