The Gen2 Formula E car made its competitive debut in the 2018/19 season of the ABB Formula E Championship. With almost double the energy storage capacity of the Gen1 car, the Gen2 enables the teams and drivers to complete a full race at higher speeds, without making a mid-race car swap.


All 12 teams use identical cars that were built by Spark Racing Technologies with assistance from Dallara. Since the second season, the championship is open to manufacturers to develop their own cars with powertrain solutions.

For the Season 6 of the series, VENTURI Racing benefits from Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team technology (powertrain, cooling system, rear frame, rear suspension, dampers, software, onboard electronics and wires).
