8 July 2019, Monaco – The VENTURI Formula E Team approaches the final two legs of the 2018–2019 Formula E championship in New York (USA) on the hunt for further points as season 5 comes to a close. As the city that never sleeps prepares to host the final two rounds of the season on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July, the team is focused on racking up as many points as possible and improving on their final championship standing.

With 14 corners over 2.32km, the Brooklyn street track shares some similarities with its Hong Kong counterpart where the VENTURI Formula E Team scored its first victory on 10 March. While the docks in the Red Hook neighbourhood provide an unusual backdrop, the track is similar to Hong Kong in that it features two long straight stretches and some slow, tight corners which offer a contrast with the long curve of corner 5, where a well-balanced car will make all the difference.

“We need to avoid technical problems and errors in New York, not least because of my five-place grid drop for Saturday’s race (following the unintentional contact with Alexander SIMS during the Swiss E-Prix), I’m going to have some catching up to do so I need to be as faultless as possible. All being well, I think we’re capable of doing great things in Red Hook and I’m looking forward to getting back out on track.”
Edoardo MORTARA, VENTURI Formula E Team driver
“I can’t wait to compete in these final two races. Early in the weekend, we’ll need to really get to know the track so that we quickly reach the point where we can perform at our best. Then, as always in Formula E, we’ll need to pay particular attention to the qualifying sessions and find the right rhythm during the race to bring our season to a fantastic close.”
Felipe MASSA, VENTURI Formula E Team driver

“The season is by no means over yet, we still have plenty of work to do and I want us to keep our focus on the challenge ahead. We need to improve on our performance from the past two races. Our main goal in New York is very clear – more points and a better championship standing finish.”
Susie WOLFF, VENTURI Formula E Team Principal

A pioneer in the field of electromobility since 2000, Monaco-based VENTURI President, Gildo PASTOR was an early supporter of Alejandro AGAG – FIA Formula E CEO – when he began laying the foundations for what would become the FIA Formula E World Championship. Drawing on his expertise in the field, the Monegasque innovator quickly threw his support behind the fledgling Formula E project and decided to create the VENTURI Formula E Team which has competed in every season since the championship premiered in 2014.
In 2015, VENTURI became an Formula E FIA-approved manufacturer. Today VENTURI supplies full powertrain systems for the VENTURI Formula E and HWA AG teams.
In 2018, Susie WOLFF was appointed Team Principal of VENTURI Formula E Team.
