THE CAR

Designed to be used for the next three seasons, the Gen2 Formula E car will make its competitive debut in the 2018/19 season of the series. With almost double the energy storage capacity of the Gen1 car, the Gen2 will enable the teams and drivers to complete a full race at higher speeds, without making a mid-race car swap.

All 11 teams use identical cars that were built by Spark Racing Technologies with assistance from Dallara. Since the second season, the championship is open to manufacturers to develop their own carswith powertrain solutions. VENTURI Automobiles is one of those manufacturers: it provides its own VENTURI Formula E Team as well as HWA team (Germany) with a kit made of powertrain, cooling system,  rear frame, rear suspension, dampers, software, onboard electronics and wires. The car developed by VENTURI Automobiles for season 5 of the ABB Formula E championship is called Venturi VFE-05.
