The world’s first electric sports car

Launched in 2004, the Fétish is the very first electric car designed by Venturi, and also the first electric sports car anywhere in the world. With its sports performance, electric powertrain, cutting-edge technology and avant-garde design, the Fétish is emblematic of everything that Venturi stands for.

Design

“Sensuality and emotion are the words that best define the Fétish’s style. Its fine, fluid wings are evocative of the speed and agility of the steering, while the generous haunches emphasise the power of the drivetrain. Fétish’s body houses an exclusive carbon monocoque chassis, designed to be both rigid and protective like a racing car’s. Fétish was the stylish, elegant face of the new Venturi. ” Sacha Lakic, Designer

Technical Challenge

The challenge for Venturi was to focus the Fétish’s design on sheer driving pleasure and accessibility, without compromising on technical capabilities. Build entirely from carbon fibre, the Fétish used the very best technology of the time, including aerospace tech. At the dawn of the new millennium, Venturi channelled all its experience and mastery of cutting-edge technology to create a truly exceptional, era-defining electric car.
